About the Owner
Jon Bartelt
Starting with two bachelor degrees from Concordia College, Moorhead
MN. Jon has developed excellent communication, problem solving,
project management and interpersonal skills to fast become one of
the area’s respected builders. Jon discovered his love and
skill in carpentry in 1991 when he left his position in Marketing
Department of Dayton Hudson to start a construction company restoring
historic residential real estate. Jon’s first restoration
project was also his oldest originally build in 1892. The home provided
many challenges and Jon learned first hand how craftsman build homes.
He mirrored their attention to detail and the strength of construction.
The results of his work was celebrated when the project was selected
to be on the Minneapolis Home Tour.

West Inc. is the result of years of hard, hands on work in the trades
which gives Jon the unique design skills to see the potential of
unused spaces and what is possible within all ranges of budgets.
Jon works hand in hand with Architects, Interior Designers, Homeowners,
project managers and all those who are involved in the project.
We believe in building and nurturing lasting relationships with
customers, employees, subcontractors and city officials assuring
great results on every project.
Jon
has also been a feature contractor on the nationwide cable television
“HGTV” home improvement channel!
